Deposit Information
Consulting with clients, scheduling, researching imagery, and drawing are all major aspects of an artists job that go overlooked by most tattoo clients. Deposits are taken to protect the artists time and ensure clients are serious about booking with them. If you are thinking of booking please read through this page carefully before committing to an appointment.
Are deposits refundable?
Deposits are NON-Refundable. Canceling an appointment for any reason results in the loss of the deposit. However, the deposit may be transferred ONCE to a future date. In this case the customer must give the artist a minimum of 72 hours notice before rescheduling the original appointment.
Rescheduling deadline
As mentioned above, a customer may reschedule an appointment with no penalty to the deposit. The artist will hold the deposit for up to 3 months until a new appointment is made. If the client has not attempted to set up a new appointment before the deadline the deposit is forfeit.
Cancellations
A customer cancelling an appointment for any reason will forfeit their deposit.
What is the deposit paying for?
The deposit is a non-refundable down payment on an agreed upon design. The money is applied to the total price of the tattoo and holds the appointment slot for customers. It also pays for the drawing and design portion of the tattoo process.
How much does a deposit cost?
The price of a deposit can vary depending on the complexity of the design. Generally smaller pieces will be $60 and larger pieces $100.
How to void a deposit
Certain situations will void and forfeit the deposit outright. Please read carefully:
Client does not appear for the appointment scheduled
Client attempts to reschedule a second time
Client arrives to appointment in no condition to get tattooed, (pregnant, sunburn, intoxicated, severe acne/skin condition, etc)
A rescheduling client has missed the 3 month deadline (see “Rescheduling deadline”)
Client attempts to switch the agreed upon design, (wanted a rose and now wants skull for example)
Client arrives 20 or more minutes late for appointment
Client does not have a valid ID
Client making the artist feel unsafe or uncomfortable in person or via text/phone communication
